This chessboard table is 2 feet by 2 feet wide by 2 feet tall and is one of the nicest tables I’ve ever made so far. I love the shade of blue and the Dark walnut drawer.
The way I made it was pretty simple I just printed off a 20 inch by 20-inch template then traced it out while it was in the mold then I used my jigsaw to cut out the square. To get all the squares all I did was rip some walnut to 2 inches then cut those pieces to two inches to make the 2’x2′ inch squares you see in the photos.
Then I made a form out of plywood to pour the epoxy in and the epoxy I used in this project and what I use for most of my products is called Ice Cast epoxy to make the legs I use 1’x1′ square inch tubing I didn’t wanna use any heaver steel because the top was already 60 pounds.
